If you missed your last metro, this collection is made for you!

Every Paris Metro line, recorded and compiled into a single pack.

Just like the sounds from « PARIS UNDERGROUND », I had to make the most of the early hours of weekend mornings to record these sounds. The surround recording rig takes up a lot of space, so I took advantage of the fact that there was almost no one in the metro to find room for it.

Not every line was recorded in its entirety, but this collection includes the interiors of every metro line, from 1 to 14, including 3bis and 7bis (for the experts), over a few stops, giving sound editors the material they need to work with these sounds.

It also includes recorded sequences of metro arrivals, stops and departures at the platforms.

To complete the collection, the various openings and closings of metro doors, from the interior perspective and from the exterior on the platform, make this a unique and comprehensive sound library.

I did my best to capture recordings without human voices, so that the sounds could be reused for creative work and sound design.

To make searching easier, the metadata indicates whether each sound contains voices or not, and whether people are present or not, so you can easily find the sound you’re looking for.

It took hours in the field to capture these different sounds, battling against the numerous announcements on the platforms and in the trains, against unintended voices and annoying human presence.

These sounds are certified without announcements, but you can find some announcements isolated in another collection if needed.
